Why it exists

To improve the relationship between people, animals and nature.

Environmental decline, animal welfare, food resilience and public understanding are deeply connected. Treating them as isolated concerns weakens the response.

The Foundation brings these areas together through focused programmes supported by the capabilities of the wider ecosystem.

How it works

Built around stewardship, not temporary activity.

Restoration, care and learning do not end when a project launches. The Foundation is designed around continued responsibility, observation and improvement.

01

Practical action

The Foundation exists to translate purpose into real work with measurable long-term value.

02

Long-term stewardship

Programmes are designed around decades of responsibility rather than short-term campaigns.

03

Evidence-led decisions

Research, observation and scientific understanding should guide progress.

04

Connected delivery

Foundation programmes work alongside Innovation, Media, Learning and Partnerships.

Supported by the ecosystem

The Foundation remains focused on programmes. The wider ecosystem provides the capabilities.

Innovation

Develops the technology, intelligence, research and systems that improve Foundation delivery.

Media

Documents the work truthfully and creates a permanent record of progress, evidence and learning.

Learning

Makes programme knowledge accessible through education, practical experience and public participation.

Partnerships

Connects the Foundation with aligned expertise, institutions, communities and infrastructure.

Long-term ambition

Begin with one place. Build a model capable of travelling.

The initial ambition is to establish one coherent flagship environment where the programmes can operate together and strengthen one another.

As knowledge, capability and resources develop, the model may expand across the United Kingdom, Europe and international locations where it can create meaningful public value.

Current status

Mission-led, privately operated and currently in development.

HEADTURNED Foundation is not currently a registered charity and does not present itself as one. Its programmes remain dependent upon the successful development of the wider HEADTURNED Ecosystem and its revenue-generating capabilities.

Start with a programme. Follow its connection to the wider ecosystem.

The Foundation's programmes each have a distinct purpose while contributing to one connected model of stewardship, understanding and long-term public value.
